Wake Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 26, 2026

Overview

Wake is a local-first desktop database workbench. The app is designed to run on your machine and connect to databases that you configure.

Information Wake stores locally

Wake may store application settings, saved connection configuration, query history, notebooks, exports, and related local app data on your device. Secrets such as database passwords are handled through the operating system keychain where supported.

Information sent to us

Wake does not require an account for the desktop app. We do not receive your database contents, query text, connection strings, credentials, exports, or local history through the marketing site or the app's normal local workflows.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address, troubleshooting details, screenshots, logs, or attachments.

Website hosting and downloads

The Wake marketing site may be hosted by a third-party static hosting provider, and downloads are served through GitHub Releases. Those providers may process standard web request information such as IP address, user agent, referrer, request time, and downloaded asset.

Analytics and tracking

The current marketing site does not include advertising cookies or cross-site tracking scripts. If privacy-preserving analytics are added later, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and why.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers for hosting, downloads, email, and support operations. We may also disclose information when required to comply with law or protect Wake, users, or others.
